penguin chick pictureHI EVERYBODY!!

Antartica doesn't get a lot of musical groups touring down here. Come to think of it, we don't have any music at all! This concert Angie and Phil went to looks like it was a lot of fun. Nice, small audience having a good time.

See you later!

I've been listening to Clannad in all it various forms since the mid-1990's.
This particular concert was part of their farewell "In A Lifetime" tour, which was supposed to come here in late 2021.
It was nice to see them perform one last time. These photos are in no particular order.
No flash was allowed, so some are sharper than others, having been shot with available light.

L-R, Ciaran, Moya & Pol Brennan
The first of a number of audience-participation numbers.
Clearly these three enjoy playing their music
Behind her aunt and uncles is Moya's daugher, Aisling Jarvis
You can almost see Moya's son Paul Jarvis on keyboard here.
Just a small taste of the incredible sound of Clannad
Uncles, aunt and daughter and son enjoying what they are doing..
and equally happy
the audience is enjoying it as well.
In 1986, Clannad and a lad named Bono did a song
called In A Lifetime. Aisling is more that up to the task of doing Bono's piece.
The song lends it name to the farewell tour
More random shots
of musicians just enjoying
sharing their talents with the audience.
Vocal talent runs in the family
Moya is equally famous
for playing the harp, the national symbol of Ireland.
Performing their last song in Chicago
called Dulaman, which is a kind of seaweed.
L-R: Ciaran Brenna (stand-up bass), Ged Lynch (percussion), Maire (pronounced Moya) Brennan (vocals, harp), Aisling Jarvis (guitar, lyre), Paul Jarvis (keyboards), Pol Brennan (keyboard, flutes, guitar, vocals)
